What I'm thinking of brewing up is mostly changes in NY, perhaps a little in VT. NY has the legendary Tracy Rd., which it would be a major crime to miss.

Motorcycle touring forums around here refer to it online as "T**** Rd." because they so jealously want to guard it. Amazing series of corners, plus neat scenery, usually no traffic, only occasional LEOs.

So basically I'll get you out of Lake Placid, down through Keene Valley, onto T**** and then down to Fort Ticonderoga (which would make another great checkpoint) and its very funky little ferry (shades of 2008).

In fact, if my modified Day 9 is adopted, the CB will go right by the access road to the lake our camp is on, so I might have to do T**** with you [g].

I may not get to this until after Turkey Day.

Very nicely done. A few comments . . .

The fort itself at Ticonderoga would make a great checkpoint. The ferry is only about 7 minutes and runs every 15. They usually let bikes on/off first, BTW.

Day 10 is a Saturday, right? If so, there is the possibility of the Kancamangus being a traffic jam, but I'd defer to NH folks on that one.
