The Scooter Cannonball is a competitive, multiday, point-to-point touring rally. It's not a race. Riders earn
points using the event’s mobile app to check in at daily landmark locations along a
suggested—but not mandatory—route. Each landmark is assigned a point value based on how difficult they are to
find and the relative distance between. Once all riders have completed the day’s route, a standard time
distribution is calculated and factored into the scores to rank riders relative to one another. The objective:
keep moving, stay on course, and successfully document your travel to each location.
A handicap factor is applied to the “Qualifying & Eligible Scooters” class to account for scooter size, age,
and modifications. Riders are also grouped into scooter classes with separate, non-handicapped rankings.
